Get rewarded for college degrees and POST certifications


Officers receive additional pay based on education. These incentives apply to both regular pay and overtime, adding financial value to your educational accomplishments.

  • 6% for an AA/AS or Intermediate POST
  • 12.8% for a BA/BS or Advanced POST

Additional Benefits

Holiday Pay

Receive 35 hours quarterly (140 annually).

Bilingual Pay

$1,200 annually for approved languages; $1,800 for Spanish-speaking employees.

Uniform Allowance

$1,200 per year, paid bi-weekly, to cover uniform costs and maintenance.

Longevity Pay

Extra pay after continuous service:

2.7% after 5 years

7% after 10 years

11.1% after 15 years

14% after 20 years

Sick and Vacation Cash Out

Cash out up to 6 sick days/year (<10 yrs) or 12 days (10+ yrs). Vacation: 60 hrs (<5 yrs), 120 hrs (5+ yrs).

Special Incentives

Includes K9 pay, FTO hours, Overtime, Film Assignments, Callback Pay, On Call Pay, Military Leave, Wellness Hour, Parental Leave, Bereavement, and FMLA.
